Prof. Peter Verburg has strong expertise in spatial analysis and modelling of land use and the quantification and mapping of GHG emissions and ecosystem services, biodiversity, ex-ante assessment models and decision support. He is the prime developer of multiple regional and global land change models, including the CLUE-s model, regional agent-based models and the CLU-Mondo land change module. The CLUE model is amongst the most frequently used land use models worldwide. Peter is chair of the Scientific Steering Committee of the Global Land Project, a core project of IHDP and IGBP bringing together the largest international network in the field of land change from different (disciplinary) perspectives.
