Deliang Chen（陈德亮） (Professor, University of Gothenburg, Sweden)

Deliang Chen is a professor in Physical Meteorology and the August Röhss Chair professor in Physical Geography at University of Gothenburg (UGOT). He is elected member of six Academies in the world including the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (RSAS) and Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has extensive experience with Earth System Science for global sustainability and science for policy. Recent examples include: Executive Director of International Council for Science; Chair of the Nomination Committee of the Stockholm Water Prize; Member of the Science Committee of the VOLVO Environment Prize; Chair of the Earth Science Division of the RSAS; and Members of the Board of Stockholm Resilience Centre and Bolin Climate Centre's External Science Advisory Group. He also acts as a Coordinating Lead Author in Working Group I of the IPCC's sixth assessment report, and serves as an editor for several international scientific journals. At UGOT he founded and directs the Regional Climate Group (http://rcg.gvc.gu.se) which studies regional climate variability in Scandinavia and Asia using instrumental and proxy data, as well as advanced statistical techniques and numerical climate models. Their studies additionally include the impact of climate change on water resources, environment, and agriculture. He has been instrumental in the international research program The Third Pole Environment (TPE) which focuses on climate and environment changes and their impact on water resources, ecosystems, and disaster/risk over the Tibetan Plateau and its surroundings.

Prof. Fu is Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the Academy of Sciences for Developing World (TWAS) and Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society Edinburgh UK. Prof. Fu is the President of Chinese Geographical Society, Vice President of International Association for Ecology (INTECOL), MEP member of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), Deputy Director of scientific committee of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network and Vice Chair of CNC- Future Earth. His research focuses on interactions between human beings and the environments. He published more than 400 scientific papers and 10 books, over 250 in international journals including Science. He is one of pioneers for the development of landscape ecology in China. His achievements made significant contributions to the understanding of interactions between landscape pattern and ecological processes, land use change and ecological effects, and ecosystem services assessment and management. His researches won the China National Natural Sciences Prize in 2005, National Sciences & Technology Advanced Prize in 2012, and Award of Distinguished Service of International Association for Landscape Ecology in 2011.

Matei Georgescu (Associate Professor, Arizona State University, USA)

Dr. Matei (Matt) Georgescu is Associate Professor in the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning at Arizona State University. His work at ASU includes a wide range of tools spanning regional climate models to machine learning and broadly addresses human environment interactions. His research interests include urban environments, energy and agricultural applications. He serves as Associate Editor of AGU's Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres and resides on the Editorial Board of Environmental Research Letters. He will be happily taking his family on sabbatical during Spring 2020 as a Fulbright Fellow to Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) in Crete, Greece. Prior to joining ASU, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University in the Center on Food Security and the Environment. He received his PhD in Atmospheric Science at Rutgers University.

Darrel Jenerette (Professor, University of California, Riverside, USA)

Dr. Darrel Jenerette is a faculty member at the University of California Riverside, where he is professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences and Director of the Center for Conservation Biology. His research is broadly directed to landscape and ecosystem sustainability in arid and semi-arid regions. Dr. Jenerette's ongoing projects investigate desert, agriculture, and urban ecosystems. Increasingly, his research examines interactions among land uses at multiple scales.

Chuan Liao（廖川） (Assistant Professor, Arizona State University, USA)

Dr. Liao is Assistant Professor in the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University. He obtained his BS in Resource Science at Beijing Normal University in 2010, and MS and PhD in Natural Resources at Cornell University in 2012 and 2015. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Michigan from 2015 to 2018. His research applies experimental, observational, participatory, statistical and modeling approaches to test theories on human-environment systems and sustainable development, with an empirical focus on smallholder farmer and pastoralist systems in Central Asia and East Africa.

Jiangxiao Qiu（仇江啸） (Assistant Professor, University of Florida, USA)

Dr. Qiu is an Assistant Professor of Landscape Ecology and Ecosystem Service in the School of Forest Resources and Conservation at the University of Florida (UF). His overarching research goal is to understand and predict how global environmental changes alter ecosystems at regional to global scales, and their consequences for a range of ecosystem services (natural benefits to people such as food, water, climate and flood regulation, erosion control, and recreation). His research takes an interdisciplinary approach integrating field observation and experiment, biophysical simulation models, remote sensing, landscape analysis, data synthesis, and social sciences to address basic and applied research questions across a range of spatial and temporal scales. Over the past years, Qiu has mostly focused on the sustainability of human-dominated landscapes such as urban and agriculture. He has published in a diverse suite of journals (>30 peer-reviewed articles), including high-impact journals such as PNAS, Nature Sustainability, BioScience, and Ecology Letters. He is also a guest professor at the Center for Human-Environment System Sustainability (CHESS) at the Beijing Normal University. Prior to joining UF, he earned his PhD degree in 2016 in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Guangliang Hou（侯光良） (Professor, Qinghai Normal University)

青海省第七批自然科学与工程技术学科带头人，青海师范大学"123高层次人才培养工程"学术带头人。国家自然科学基金委函评专家。主要研究方向是全球变化与人类适应，重点为青藏高原史前人类活动与环境演变关系的研究，发表学术论文30余篇，其中权威刊物发表6篇，SCI7篇，参编著作4部。其科研成果获第九次（2011年）和第十一次（2015年）青海省哲学社会科学优秀成果二等奖、青海省自然科学优秀科研成果三等奖、第七届西宁市自然科学优秀论文二等奖（2011）；获2011年度青海省高校优秀教师"小岛奖"。2015年7月参加青海省文物考古研究所、四川大学联合举办的青南考古调查，其科研成果被美国《SCIENCE》和新华社等报道。

长江学者特聘教授(2005)，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，国家人事部首批新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选。中国地理信息系统协会理论与方法专业委员会副主任，中国地理学会数量地理专业委员会副主任，广东省地理学会GIS专业委员会主任，国家科学技术奖评审专家，International Journal of Geographical Information Science、Landscape and Urban Planning、Computers和Environment and Urban Systems等著名国际刊物编委。长期从事地理信息科学(GIS)研究。较早结合GIS与复杂系统理论开展了中国城市扩张、土地利用变化模拟及其规划应用研究。创建了地理模拟系统的理论和方法，并应用在城市规划和全球土地利用变化模拟中，取得了系统性和创新性的成果。连续入选Elsevier中国高被引学者、多篇代表做位列SCI地理学领域引用前1%，所提出的GeoGOS被列为几大国际著名的土地利用模拟模型之一。
